Álvaro Santamaría, better known as Santa, is an Spanish illustrator and graphic designer graduated in Arts at Salamanca University in 2008. During the career he centers his interests in the illustration world and founds MOULESKILLERS, the very first association of illustration professionals in his city.

After graduation until now he has worked as graphic designer and illustrator, giving special attention to web design, corporate identity and publicity. At the end of 2009 he launched his first illustration book named "Don't Touch", published and distributed all over the world by BLUR. In this publication he shows his easygoing and expressive drawing style, wich let him to reinvent the most famous paintings of art history with a very sarcastic point of view.

He currently works as web programmer and illustrator in The Fact, an interesting digital production company in the center of Madrid.

En 2008 se licencia en la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Salamanca, donde estudia pintura y diseño gráfico. Durante los tres últimos años de dicha carrera se interesa especialmente en el mundo de la ilustración, y es a raíz de ello que forma junto con otros ilustradores el colectivo MOULESKILLERS, primera y verdadera unión de profesionales de este género en su ciudad.

Desde que finalizara sus estudios universitarios hasta ahora ha trabajado como diseñador gráfico e ilustrador freelance, dedicándose especialmente al diseño web, la identidad corporativa y la publicidad. A finales de 2009 sale a la luz su primera publicación titulada “No Tocar”, editada y distribuida por la editorial madrileña BLUR. En ella se manifiesta su estilo de dibujo más fresco y expresivo, el cual le permite reinterpretar obras clásicas de la pintura con una buena dosis de sarcasmo.

Actualmente trabaja como programador web e ilustrador en The Fact, una interesante productora digital en el centro de Madrid.
